Altar Aides launder the sacred linens used at Mass, as well as do some occasional light cleaning in the church.
Altar Servers
Altar Servers have the sacred role of assisting the priest at Mass, and other liturgies.
Art & Environment
Committee plans and arranges the decorations in and around Church. Requires meeting in Church to change the decorations before and after major seasons in the church year. (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter.)
Bereavement Ministry
Bereavement Letters
The journey through grief is difficult and painful. Team members care for grieving families with letters of comfort and support, letting them know that they, and their deceased loved ones, are not forgotten. Letters, envelopes and stamps are provided by the parish.
Booster/Sports Club
Members coordinate and oversee sports activities at Mary Queen of Peace.
Children's Church Teacher
Volunteers teach the word of God during the homily at Sunday Masses.
Choirs, Cantors & Musicians
Ministry assists in coordinating chairs of groups that plan parish sacramental activities (Music Ministers, Communion Ministers, Readers, etc.) Monthly meetings are required
Collection Counters
Volunteers help count the collections.
Communion Ministers
The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith, and is at the center the celebration of the Mass.
Confirmation Retreat Volunteer
Youth from 10th grade and up may serve as a small group leader during the Confirmation retreat.
Craft Club
Open to anyone! Craft club meets Wednesdays at 10 AM to share fellowship and craft talents.
Extraordinary Minister
Ministers assist the priest by distributing the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass.
Fish Fry Worker
Volunteers help at the yearly Lenten Fish Frys, performing various activities including food prep, serving, and cleanup
Gift Bearers
Ministers are asked to bring the gifts of bread and wine up to the altar to be received by the priest at the Masses. Please indicate your preferred Mass time on the stewardship form.
Maintenance Helpers
If you have expertise in electrical, plumbing, construction, etc., your help may needed with special projects from time to time.
Marian Altar Society
Marian Altar Society members launder the sacred linens used at Mass, as well as do some occasional light cleaning in the church.
Notre Dame Academy Volunteer
NDA is our elementary/middle school. Parents and parishioners are needed to help as cafeteria volunteers, PTO, health screeners, etc.
Office Aide
Periodically our office staff needs help with special mailings, or answering the phones when a staff member is sick or on vacation.
Outdoor Sign Changer
This volunteer will change the information on the outdoor sign located next to the parking lot on Crums Lane. The sign is a simple pop-in/ pop-out system.
Pray for the Parish
All members of the Christian Community are in need of prayer. All parishioners should participate in this ministry daily.
Lectors
Lectors have the sacred responsibility of proclaiming the Word of God in the first and/or second reading during Mass, as well as the Prayers of the Faithful (petitions).
Prayer Chain Caller/Member
Volunteers pray for the needs and health of parishioners, family and friends. A prayer chain caller in this ministry agrees to call a specific number of individuals to request prayers for an individual’s need. Volunteers also agree to receive calls and pray.
OCIA Sponsors & Team Member
A sponsor makes a commitment to accompany a candidate (already baptized) or catechumen (unbaptized) seeking full communion with the Catholic Church. Sharing your faith and answering questions is involved.
OCIA Team Member
Team members share the important task of handing on the Catholic Faith to OCIA candidates and catechumens, with direction and teaching materials provided by the OCIA Director.
Safe Environment Training:
Anyone working regularly with children in the Archdiocese of Louisville, must have a background check on file and complete Safe Environment Training. Check with the Parish Office for details.
Right to Life Committee
Coordinates efforts for annual newspaper ad, Mother’s Day rose sale, and Father’s Day Baby Bottle Boomerang.
Worship Committee

Stewardship Committee
Stewardship is a concrete way for us to give thanks to God for all the blessings we have received.
Trivia Night
Volunteers will help run the games, the concession stand and other duties.
Ushers
Ushers take up the collection, and help the faithful to find seats at crowded Masses. Ushers may, from time to time, be asked to bring up the gifts of bread and wine. Please indicate your preferred Mass time on the stewardship form.
Youth Disciples of Christ Adult Leaders
Volunteers are needed to guide Youth Disciples in their faith formation, and plan and execute activities for the group
